Reviews:

“The last piece this evening, The Swan was the highpoint of the night. This dance work is beautiful, erotic, moves the audience and is adorable to watch. Customes and stage design are created by Filippía Elísdóttir. The dancers role are like in an adventure which has quotes to “The Swanlake” by Tjækovskí, but also from other stories. The short description in the program underlines “secrets and dreams” but Lára Stefánsdóttir has obviously also put in the piece combination of ridicule and reverence. A perfect ending of the evening”.

“The last piece on the show, The Swan, was a rememberable piece. Finally the stage turned into a dramatic situation with very simple tricks: powder on floor which draw a new stage, few bright balls, one swing and the custume of the female dancer. The story was clear, the dance finally worked with the outlook, a vision which was from another direction than the boring minimalistic pureness which has coloured The Icelandic Dance Company for too long. The outcome of all coming together in the piece The Swan gave a harmonic picture in a beautiful , kind of dusty memory”.
